English Rose Loose Tea

DESCRIPTION
It was during China's Ming Dynasty that tea artisans first experimented with buds and blossoms, imbuing the leaves with essential oils. We've recreated the taste of a classic "Meigui Gongfu" rose tea by using a black tea for the base, imbued with subtle floral flavours and scattered with rose petals. The tea might be authentically Chinese, but those wonderfully aromatic notes of rose are forever England.

밀크티로 해먹어도 맛있고, 스트레이트로 내려서 마셔도 맛있다. 

Apple & Elderflower Loose Tea

DESCRIPTION
A richly rustic blend of early autumn apples and hedgerow elderflower, with layers of sweet liquorice, vanilla and hibiscus. In the spirit of rolling hills and golden hay bales, we've added a handful of rural rose and marigold petals for a beautiful infusion. Enjoy delicately iced like the last of the summer wine, or steaming hot to ward off the winter chill.

Herbal rooibos and honeybush are unique to the Cederberg Mountains in South Africa, where they've been harvested by Khoisan tribes for centuries. The leaves are usually processed in a similar way to black tea, giving a fruity, caffeine-free infusion.

블루베리 풍선껌 맛이 난다. 진짜 농담 하나도 안 보태고 향부터가 풍선껌 맛이다.
점원분께서도 풍선껌같은 맛이라고 설명해주셨으니 말 다했지 ㅋㅋㅋ 아이스티로 해먹으면 맛있다.

Chelsea Garden Loose Tea

DESCRIPTION
With our signature White Peony tea as a base, Chelsea Garden is a light and elegant brew, while the sweet suggestion of rose and flavours of ripe summer fruits add a delightfully characteristic twist. And the whole rosebuds? Well, allow Walter to express the more floral side to his personality. It's ideal infused in our glass Chelsea Teapot – the rosebuds make for quite the afternoon tea showpiece.

백차인데 잎을 뭉치거나 말지 않고 잎 모양 그대로 보존되어 있는 특이한 차. 
맛도 깔끔하니 좋다. 

Mellow Melon

홈페이지에서 사진을 찾아볼 수 없었다.
이제 이 차는 안 파나봄... 맛있는데 ㅠㅠㅠ
이름 그대로 멜론 맛이 난다. 차갑게 마시면 완전 멜론향이 끝내준다. 설탕 타서 마시면 주스가 따로 없을 정도 ㅎㅎ
이 알맹이들을 넣어서 머핀으로 해먹어도 맛있다고 점원분이 그러셨다. 

 

내가 기본적인 차들 말고 위타드에서만 마실 수 있는 특이한 차들을 찾는다고 하니 점원분이 추천해주신 차들이다.
다들 맛있고 특이해서 마음에 들었다.
런던 티샵에서 직접 차를 사는 것은 정말로 차를 좋아하는 나같은 사람에게 있어서 정말 행복한 일이다. 
커다란 통에서 직접 시향도 할 수 있고, 내가 원하는 차를 직원분이 잘 추천도 해준다. 간혹 한두잔은 시음도 할 수 있으니 얼마나 좋은가.
다음에 유럽에 또 간다면 런던은 다시 가볼 생각이다. 
런던에는 런던 지역 이름을 가진 차 블렌드들이 많은데 다음에는 그 블렌드도 한번 마셔보고 싶다.
